Cool car!
 
Looks identical to a 66 Ambo 990 I had years ago down to the color,
upholstery, wheel covers, and AC---except mine was a 327 4V car, NOT a
232!
 
I ended up selling my car to a guy named Peter Wilberg who I think is in
some of the AMC clubs. He bought mine for parts to fix the prototype
Ambassador Marlin, but said mine ended up being in too good a shape to
part out so he put another engine in it, converted it to a 4-speed, and
painted it. He sent me a photo of it after he had it painted, but I
haven't heard anything of him or the car since, and that was many moons
ago.
