Dave,

Is the exhaust plugged up? Is the timing right (ignition and cam)? Did 
you double check that the plug wires are connect properly?

The 327 will bolt right up to your current bellhousing. I think those 
engines are internally balanced as well so you can just swap the 
flywheel over.
