Re: [Amc-list] Replacing strut-rod bushing

What I know/remember about the one piece ones is they are a bear to install.
IMHO, not worth the trouble, My brother wrestled some in and they too failed in fairly short order.
I just realized while digging thru reciepts looking for my battery warranty that my car has been on the road under my possesion since 98. I bought new rubber bushings an dinstalled them at that time, they have soem cracking taking place but are still good. So up to that point they still made decent rubber bushings.
I bought a total poly kit for mine and have the poly bushings from it on the shelf. I'll probably give them a try when the rubber ones fail.
IIRC, correctly roads are pretty level and smooth out that area. I'd consider trying a set of black polys if I couldn't get rubber ones in a decent time fram and needed them.
