I'm telling you! A 4-1 first with a 3:31 gear is PIA after while. I usually just use second gear on the AMC T-5 after the first few stop/starts. It's easy to drive with the 4-1 first, but second comes real quick, sifts easy and doesn't rake. It's just kind of too much too soon!!! Second in the AMC t-5 is 2:35-1 IIRC and that works OK most everywhere. The next one will be 2.95-1 first! -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: <JWidiker@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > From experience I can tell you that first gear with the ax-15 and a mid 3's > rear end will last about 10 feet, it's kind of a pain.
