The late 70's was the reported time range for the multi pattern bell. Depth will likely be the key issue if it is a deep bell it won't work. The shallow depth bells are made in several configurations. Most of the multi pattern bells I've seen are drilled and tapped in three sets of holes. However some don't have all the holes drilled and tapped, but they are there in the casting. If undrilled it would be a fairly simple process to have them drilled and tapped. Depending on the casting itself you may well be able to have the T-5 pattern drilled and tapped onto most any shallow bell. The retainer ring is the key to locating the trans. The bolt pattern just holds the trans and bell together... I don't have the information on the two depths. Someone on here will know though. -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: "Andrew Blomer" <lotharamc@xxxxxxxxxxx> > The bell housing I am looking at getting is on a 343 I want, but I can't go > see it until next weekend.
