[Amc-list] Correction - Kenosha Meet

Thanks Jock, I will put a correction in! I thought the same arrangement
as was made for the other big meets in the past was being used again. I
visited the site (http://www.kenoshahistorycenter.org/events5.htm) and
it says "free", but that is for spectators. There is a $10 entry fee for
cars. That is to help pay for all the events they have scheduled, so
don't be afraid to register!! I'll be parking in the vendor area again
this year... or maybe just close to the vendor area. Don't want to carry
things to far from car to display!

Frank S. put a post on the AMC Forums (which I read daily but am not a
poster because I just have slow dial-up but hopefully next week I will
have the new computer moved into my office and then will get connected
thru the cable company to a much, much faster Internet and then will
join
the AMC Forums) and here is what he said:

> The show is put on by the Kenosha Historical Society. The clubs
typically have areas for their members who want to be judged and pay the
appropriate fees, but there is also a display area for non-club cars on
the same field. Most of the clubs have a regional meet in conjunction
with the show.>

Frank, Tom Schleif, the main man at the Kenosha History Center,
contacted
me back via e-mail about some questions I had (as President/Editor of
NAMDRA) and here is his answer (which I also put in this months NAMDRA
newsletter):

>We are not judging. Cars will be lined up as they come in. If you have
a
group of people you would like to be with let me know and we can reserve
some spots together for you. We are not putting the same type of cars
together and are not organizing by clubs either. We are telling people
that they should come in together if they want to be next to each other
or in some instances we will reserve a small area for a group of
friends.
We will keep it simple and I think it is more interesting to have all
kinds of different cars mixed together (not all of the AMX's in a group
etc.). We want this to be just a good time for all people that come to
the show.>

Frank, maybe you should put a correction on the AMC Forums. Thanks!
