I have to admit to not being a rocket scientist, But I just don't see the reasoning to condemn the truckarm suspension absolutely. It contains triangluation and a track bar. The arms are 51" long and the front seperation is probably somewhere in the 12" range. Rubber bushings up front to allow twist.
   I know that the system has drawbacks, but are they sevsere enough to actually casue a problem with a Sunday driver? Or even a daily driver?
    I agree paralel bars, especially short ones would be a big problem, binding would have to occur.
    I have no love of ladder bars.
    4 Link design and installation would probably get  me in to more trouble! 
The truck arms just plain appeal due to their oldschool looks, long swing, center push, close to where the torque tube pushes now. 
   I've not whipped out a torch or plasma cutter, yet...
I may never do so.
   I am very interested in reasons to not build any rear suspension for any reason!
   If I do build or cut. I'm not looking for that perfect world rear suspension. That would probably be a fully articulated 4 link with watts linkage would it not??? Oh, and bags so I could slam it or raise it for speed bumps at will...
