I've had trouble with the cheap recurve kits such as the one sold by Mr. 
Gasket. The weights and springs are so lightweight. I have searched for 
original type weights to use with the heavy type springs that come with 
the Crane adjustable vacuum can but the weights I bought at the junkyard 
have a different style pivot than the distributor I have and they don't 
work in it. The original weights got mistakenly left on the valve cover 
after I was fooling around with the distributor and of course they were 
lost. DOH! I actually found one of them in the driveway but never the 
other one. So the way I run the distributor right now is with one of the 
original weights that came with it it and a spring from the Crane 
adjustable vacuum can, and one weight and spring from a Mr. Gasket set.

Does anyone know a source for the original type weights? or have another 
suggestion for me?
