Joe, the piston isn't really stuck, the rings are. Moisture gets in and the iron rings rust to the iron cylinder bore once the oil has run off. It's probably not bad, but a little has a lot of force. As Mark mentioned, there will be a few pits where the ring was rusted, but won't hurt compression much mainly because one of the compression rings will always be sealed above and below the pits. I've had good luck filling the cylinder with trans fluid (just 1/4-1/2 quart, not full) and letting it sit over a night or two. Then you should be able to break it loose with a breaker bar on the balancer bolt. I've resurrected engines that had 2-3 stuck pistons (rings) like this with no really noticeable effects.
