[Amc-list] 65 classic 327 auto

im probably getting a 65 classic this weekend that has
the 327 with auto. im not sure what auto. m8? or 10?
how strong of a trans is it in stock form? i know the
327 can be a stout motor with a little work. i have a
kit to port heads and intakes. might open up the
heads. do a valve job on it. improve the flow. i think
65 should still be the t-tube correct? how strong will
that axle, trans, t-tube be to play around with as is
at the 1/8 mile strip here? im not thinking of beating
it out there alot. just see what it runs once i get it
running, then do the head job, see what it does. or is
that a bad idea with the rest of that drive train?
body is pretty strait. needs paint. 1 dent drivers
front fender. back floors are rusted thru. front
floors seem to be ok. for $500, i dont think its TOO
bad. pics posted at
