[Amc-list] Great Parts Find For American Motors Owners.., Please Read.

Hello all,
   
  I am posting this in hopes that some of you may benefit from it.
   
  The alternator in my 1965 American 220 died last week and took the voltage regulator with it.   After countless calls to rebuilders, who said that there was virtually no parts available for the MOTOROLLA 35 AMP unit,(and rebuilt Delco Remy units are only remanufactured in 
  61 amp which is too large for the alloted space) and calling all of the Auto Zones, Murrays and Pep Boys who all said that I was out of luck, I decided as a last resoer to call the local CAR QUEST parts store and was advised that I could pick up my alternator within 3 hours.
   
  After speaking at length with the counter man, I was advised that they could in fact gain access to various and numerous AMC parts, depending on what was needed.
   
  So...instead of paying hyper inflated prices from Ebay etc...give Car Quest a try. You may be as surprised and happy as I was.
