Tell the person at radio shack you want a 15K (1/4 watt) power limiting
resister, that will knock the brightness in half and it's not too bad to
look at. I'm out or I'd send it to you, if you aren't going to get there
any time soon just let me know.

All I know is the ole RM itch got a big scratch that day!
John, did you suceed in dimming down the blue led?
the resistor they had on mine was overheated when soldered and it fell
apart.
