just finished watching the 49th running of
-The DAYTONA 500 - an18 million $ purse race -
.........

this was 'The Mark Martin Show' - .........just incredible!

one of the best 500s ever !~~

- Clint Boyer 07 crosses 
the finish line - 18th - upside down and in flames...

Kevin Harvick takes the Harley Earl Trophy after
Mark loses his pusher on the last half lap - by
2/100ths of a second.........2nd DAYTONA win
for Richard Childress Team - Dale Ernhardt Sr.
was their first........2nd closest race ever for
DAYTONA -  back in 1959 is the
closest win on their books -> 

Harvick set up a run on the  outside - off the banking - 
Marks pusher moves up too late to check Kevin -
thus abandoning the push Mark counted on ..........

Mark moves up
only to bobble off Harvick ,
scrubbing off the fender length needed to take the Checker Flag.
[;'  ...... and behind..... the wrecks are blazing...........

- hangin' off
the loft bed -> screamin' at a 19"x34" projection
screen .......................

.................."I can't believe it!"........

but  watching the video - if they had thrown the
Yellow Caution at the moment of the wrecks - ..........
Harvick had the Win..........but Martin then pulled
ahead one millisecond later - .......but ..........
the Childress Torque Motor
won..........

........ ARMY gave Mark a shot as his sponsor - in his own words,
is what he asked for -> a Great Road Warrior < totally cool >
I am certain they were pleased ..........regardless.......  

Opening ceremonies had a HORNET fly-over > twin rudder
total air dominance - sweet - .......... - carrier or land based ?

hope to see Mark Martin [ yes, he went to Chevy ] back next
year @ The 50th running of The DAYTONA 500 <~~>

  this NASCAR battle
kept the T-stoff blazing'..........

now for NASCAR Victory Lane ;)

all time favourite - m'y'TALLADEGA SuperSpeedway Race 
is April 28 - 29 < THE Premier SuperSpeedway Race >........ so stay 
Tuned..  the California track is next.....should be good.

Spring is coming - gotta' budget for the Corroless paints
to seal up the E-bird.

       going to research the E-Tec Evinrude engines
as to why they need no oil change - ever - 
either a bearing coating - new bearing materials -
or parts made from who knows what!
