I think some models will at least partially block the flow.
Probably
not enough ot affect braking though. I've looked at the cut-away
diagrams, haven't physically taken one apart. There were some
changes
in the designs over the years, so one range of years might block
flow
when tripped and some may not move over far enough. That's why I
put in
the "or at least cut it way down", but should have stated "at
least
some years will at least partially obstruct the flow", or
something
similar. I don't recall if it was early or late models that had
the
valves that at least appeared to block the flow when tripped.
More
likely late model disc brake valves. I know the old drum brake
valves
won't block the flow.
