Clearly we're assuming manual transmissions. I have little
experience with transmission innards -- but most of the synchros
I've looked at, the dogs look symmetrical.

Do manuals mind running the wrong way? Lubrication for the ones
I've been in doesn't seem like a problem (immersion).
