" Before I go through great lengths to research something that someone
" else has already done, what is my "best" option for rear springs for
" my 1973 4-dr. Matador? The rear is sagging and I need to fix that. I
" am not concerned with stock vs. non-stock and would tend towards the
" performance end of things and may someday tow with this vehicle.
i would go to espo or eaton detroit and get oem hd replacements. i
did that on my '67 marlin and while stiffer than '60s standard they
weren't really -stiff-, just nicely firm.
there are also some rock hard trailer towing rears.
i also got stock hd fronts and put low pressure gas shocks all around.
great ride! very important if you want to tow; soft fronts with stiff
rears would unbalance your handling.
" I was hoping to find some progressive rate springs but my preliminary
" research doesn't find any.
iirc the stock hd are progressive.
