This will be the last bumper batch we do that will be done this year. If
you have a bumper that you would like plated please contact me. Bumpers come
with a two year warranty, are triple plated show quality chrome, and are
straightened as needed. We can also fill small holes (like the holes put in
a rear for the tow package). Bumpers will be done in the early to mid Nov
time period. The pricing I am listing below is only if you send your bumpers
(they must be platable with no deep rust and small dents/bends!) and are
only good for this batch. 64-69 American front or rear $250 each (add $30
for shipping each if applicable to return bumper to you) 70-78 gremlin front
or rear $230 each (same shipping rates as above apply) 67-70 rebel front or
rear (non station wagon) $285 each (same shipping rates as above apply)
71-74 Javelin front $250 each (same shipping rates as above apply) 68-74
Javelin rear $260 each (same shipping rates as above apply) 68-70
Javelin/AMX front $270 each (same shipping rates as above apply) If you have
a bumper that you would like a price on that is not listed above please
inquire. I must recieve bumpers by Friday the 11th of August. If you send a
bumper and it is deemed unplatable you will be contacted to make
arrangements to return your bumper to you. If you have any questions if your
bumper is platable or not you can send me pics and I can usually tell from
the pics. thanks for the space... Mike bbo70amx@xxxxxxxxxxx

For what it's worth, I'm still trying to locate the '64 automatic transmission for my Typhoon project. It's coming along nicely, and am going to SC to pick up an engine in a week and a half. Joe has offered up a fuse panel (thank you, Joe), and Mark "The Cripple" (just kidding, Mark) has some stuff up in WV, which I still plan to drive up for the end of the month.

But, I'm still searching for that elusive automatic trans for Typhoon 1.

Also, I discovered today, the windshield in Typhoon 2 is cracked. Any plans to transfer that to Ty 1 are now scrapped, and puts me back on the hunt for the front/rear windshields, and the drivers side door glasses. Originally, I was going to part Ty 2 out to Ty 1, but can't bring myself to do that to an original Typhoon, as there were so few of them in the first place. Photos of Ty 1 are available, if anyone's interested in seeing how the project is going. I started hanging the suspension today, so it's in the re-assembly stage, in some areas.

Thank you to everyone here who has helped on this project. I can't tell you how much it helps, and how great it is the AMC community does pull together.

Kenny

-----------------------------------

It was a joke Arfon! The early AMC 401 used a GM distributor. Just tell
an idiot that GM bought the parts and motor from AMC and he just might
believe you and get a little upset about it. You just have to sound
convincing. The AMC 327 resembles a 396. I straight faced told one guy
that Chevy bought the AMC engine and boredthem out to make the 396
because they already made a small block 327. He bought it hook line and
sinker.... Of course he commented after looking under a hood at a show
that it looked a lot like his Chevy 396, that AMC must have bought it
from Chevy since they bought their engines from everyone else. I managed
to convince him that AMC built that V-8, then couldn't help the fib on
top...
