CAR FOR SALE- 68 AMX, #02080. This is a ground-up restoration. The
engine, bellhousing & tranny were blasted clean and coated with POR-15
engine paint. 390 c.i. engine rebuilt by Herschel Slade Automotive &
Machine. The block was bored & honed. Heads were surfaced, ported &
polished. Bronze valve guides. Completely balanced assembly. Holley 650
dual line carb. Eldelbrock Performer RPM Air-Gap intake. Lokar throttle
cable & gas pedal. Comp Cam. MSD Pro-Billet 6-A ignition w/Soft-Touch rev
control and Blaster cable. New diaphram clutch. B-W T-10 4spd. w/orig.
Hurst Competition Plus shifter completely rebuilt by Hurst. Ceramic
coated headers. Custom side-pipes w/Hooker/Dynomax 2 1/2" to 3" mandrel
bends. Factory option polished alum. Trendsetter side pipe covers. New
AMC radiator & hoses. Remanufactured Bendix 4-piston, stainless steel
insert front disc, rear brake linings, cylinders. New brake lines. PB &
PS. New bushings. New tie-rod ends. New 18 panel, 21 circuit wiring
harness. Complete 3M undercoating. All new weatherstripping around doors
& trunk. All brite work replated and/or polished. New windshield. New
headliner & carpet. Orig. door panels recovered to match seats, from
Honda CRX. Fiberglass hood. New 15" Magnum 500 wheels w/Goodyear
P235/60R15 front & P255/60R15 rear tires. Paint is seven coats DuPont
Performance red & two coats of clear. I bought the car from Ernest
(Sunshine) Lynch form Petal, MS on Feb. 15, 2001. Sunshine bought the car
in Hattiesburg, MS in 1968. I consider work done on this car to be a
"Stage 2" modification adding approx. 100 HP, giving the car approx. 415
HP. This car looks good, sounds good, drives good. NOTE: The horn,
heater, wipers, speedo, gas gauge not hooked up. - $15,000 OBO. Ried
