Well... I recently had mine out, on my 70 Hornet, and it was
split on one end, as many are... I pushed it back together,
ran a loop of iron wire over to hold it together, and hope
it'll keep moths, leaves, wood chips, whatever, out of the
pickup. Said large objects, I would rather not BE in the gas
tank in the first place!

I put a fuel filter between the steel line and pump input
anyways.  Belt AND suspenders!
