[AMC-List] my 62 classic custom

so, i just bought that t86/r10 overdrive. guy said it does not have the solenoid or governor tho. does anyone have these parts, or know where i can come up with them? i have never had any experience with an overdrive unit. also, i have never had my torque tube apart so i dont know what im going to be looking at in there. sombody told me that the t86 is a top shifted unit. my 96 is shifted on the SIDE. i am really going into uncharted territory now. hehe. does anyone know what gear ratio is in the 62 classic 196 rear end? or did they come with several? i found a wiring diagram for the overdrive. all these switches and crap the guy had everywhere. is there a simple, more stock looking way they were wired up? thanks for all the help everyone.
