Russ is right about Maaco. It is usually poor preparation that kills their jobs. A friend poorly prepared his Javelin body work wise and just had Maaco scuff it and shoot it. It was masked pretty good and painted a metallic gold. The paint had no runs or dirt and had a real nice gloss. In some metallic's the metallic in the paint runs and not the paint, it didn't even have that. All in all if the preparation had been done properly it would have been a real nice job for a real reasonable price. Needless to say the poor initial preparation made it look like a real smear job.
