Brakelight update

Hi all;

I ordered and got the GP Sorensen SC34 turn signal switch. It came with the signal cam installed, although I had ordered a Motormite one extra. Anyway, FYI, it installed just like the original with these differences:

The color code on the wires is different - not a big deal, but I did a diagram and stuffed it in my TSM. The replacement also had one extra wire that I didn't need, which was the light for an auto indicator. I just removed it. It also had one extra connector, but they included a jumper connector that went to a original-type semi-round (horseshoe?) connector that plugged right into my original harness connector.

The worse part is getting it through the column. I still have a couple of issues to resolve, but my brake lights work great, as do all the indicators, and the turn signal clicks like new and returns!

I have a problem with my left signal: I had a bulb out in the front, so went to replace it and the bulb broke in my fingertips, laying open my forefinger and thumb (ouch!). I had a new pair of Mechanix gloves that weren't on! Anyway, after getting bandaged up by the house nurse (my wife), I returned my attention to the bulb, and it's frozen in place with corrosion.

Anyone have a good used or NOS one laying around? Driver's front, although it looks to be interchangable with the passenger side. I'd think the socket could be replaced if need be...

I can live with the signal until it gets fixed, and it'll be good enough to drive up to Daytona this weekend for the car show (Hope to see some of you there!).
