I didn't know you needed to rework the plastic before doing the paint. I've got a real nice 73 brille and healight doors I'd have sold you cheap. They would still need painted as PO spraybombed the edges of them, but they are in real nice shape plastic wise. -- Mark Price markprice242ATadelphia.net Morgantown, WV -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: AMC74Hornet@xxxxxxxxx (Mr. AMC) Date: Tue, 21 Mar 2006 07:03:43 -0500 To: mail@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Grill Resto Progress Message-ID: <28512-441FEB9F-8577@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> The closer I look the more small spots I find that need repair or need re-enforcement. I got 10 hours into it in the last 4 days and figure I am only half way through with the plastic repair before I start on the painting. Until I removed it I thought it was undamaged and just needed to be painted. Nothing in the last 2 1/2 years has ever been easy on this car so why should this be any different. I may through a friend have found some like new chrome bumpers for the car at a real good price an hour and a half's drive from where I live. I am waiting for the pic's. Oh well a guess it has to be a little at a time. I never figured this would still be an ongoing project 2 1/2 after I bought it and spending 3 times what I budgeted on the car. Coming out of the Dr's yesterday I was complimented on what a beautiful car it was. "Doc"
