not strictly true.  the t-14 was used behind 2bbl 290s and 304s as
early as '68, and the t150 and sr4 were used behind both sixes and v8s.
all these bells are shallow.

My 68 TSM says a T-15 was used behind V8's. T-15's have larger bearings on the input and main shafts but are pretty much like a T-14 otherwise.
