Re: OT: 4.7 knowledge

Done deal. Bought. 2001 Dakota Crewcab Sport.
Has 4.7 5 speed, A/C. P/S, P/B and a Tonaue [spelling?] cover,
Alloy wheels and Fog lights. That's about it. Just a basic Truck, NO power windows, locks, cruise to break. Almost the complete opposite of the S-10. That is now Finally GONE!!! D@#n I hated that truck! What a piece of crap! You know it must have aggravated me as I traded a truck with 50,000 miles on a truck with 77,000 miles, same year it even cost me a few bucks difference. Someone said don't give up on Chevy, Way too late for me, they gave up on me! all I ever wanted them to do was fix the rattling timing chain, even after they had a repair, they wouldn't fix it as I was past warranty by then. Won't be no more Chebbies in my driveway anytime soon.
I so love having a 5 speed back as a daily driver!!!
Yeah!

If a couple extra doors keeps the wife happy, why not? I'm sure she's just
thinking you won't have to take her vehicle every time the family goes somewhere
-- yours can pull family duty with ease also. Besides, once you're happy with a
newer truck, you'll not worry about that Rambler so much! It's a long term
project, but will pay off when you get it finished.
