Re: OT: 4.7 knowledge

As the owner of a 2002 quad cab dakota i would hope your not going to be driving it too far as the fuel economy is terrible at 14-15 mpg other than that the recall for the front balljoint,s caused me some disgust with chrysler due to the fact they made me pay for an alignment afterward,s PS I love the quad cab

If a couple extra doors keeps the wife happy, why not? I'm sure she's just thinking you won't have to take her vehicle every time the family goes somewhere -- yours can pull family duty with ease also. Besides, once you're happy with a newer truck, you'll not worry about that Rambler so much! It's a long term project, but will pay off when you get it finished.

once more into the breach.
Went back to the dealer and he has just got in a 2001 Dakota Quacab 4.7 5 speed!
Now I'm trying to decide, the truck looks good, but has 77,000 miles on it. However we can pay what little differnce there will be in cash, no financing. So I am going to go in tomorrow when my salesman is there and drive it and see if we can deal.
Anyone know what to be on the lookout for with the 2001 trucks? I want the Clubcab and my wife has told me to buy it if it will make me happy, but the crewcab will cause mush less stress and promote marital bliss. such as it is after 18+ years and two kids :]
Tomorrow, I shop for trucks and start welding some more on the rusty Ambassador.
It's whispering to someone, "come get me".
