AMbo Crossmemebrs in an AMX

I've wondered about that myself.
How much would it shift weight towards the rear?
I've got a spare 65 Ambassaodr Crossmember, but nothing newer.
I've thought about using an Ambassodr to make a Classic altered typ car.
Cut the nose off of a 65 or 66 Ambassador and put the Classic nose on it. You've got the front axle at the nose! You could then do the rear for a true altered or just do the nose. I like the Classics nose better then the stacked headlights of the Ambassador and thought of saving the Flood car to try this on, but it is way to rough to save.

I know the AMbos have different perches on the crossmembers as the
" engine is set back a good bit more. I bet the 118" wheelbase cars are
" all the same and the other wheelbases different. I'm not sure about
" the Mat Coupe -- it may have a unique crossmember or use the long
" Ambo CM for more engine setback.

followup question: i know it'd take some extensive firewall surgery,
but what would the engine setback of an ambo cm do to the f/r weight
balance of an amx?
