I seem to recall reading on the strokers list that they found out the cam for the 87-90 was the same as 91-95 (OBD I). The difference was in installation -- the 91-95 was retarded or advanced four degrees from the 87-90 to improve low speed emissions and eliminate the need for the EGR. I don't recall which, but I think it was advanced as the torque curve moved up in the rpm range also. Now It seem that either this was never or true or missinformation, or they have replaced the early cams numbers with the later cams as there is very little difference. I thought the ramp angle was changed slightly to help quiet the cam and help them pass emissions without air pumps, but this is all unfounded ramblings of a mad man at this point. > Also remember a 4.0L is 242 cubic inches, That's only 10 cubic inches more then your 232 and you will benefit from a lot of engineering and cam knowledge gains by going to the 4.0L cam. If I was putting together a stock 232 I'd use one. > -- > Mark Price > markprice242ATadelphia.net > Morgantown, WV > Date: Tue, 07 Mar 2006 07:57:42 -0500 ============================================================= Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist
