Well, I still listen to FM occasionally just for variety. If I had my entire CD collection on tap I might not miss it though -- just run the "random play" program... But there's still that occasion where you want to get news or local info. WWithout the HAM radio, you'd be without. I wonder if they make an FM card that will fit one of the mini systems? I was going to bid on a VIA mini ITX car system on E-bay becasue the guy mentioned he used it as a "digital dash". That really got my attention! Turns out it was just for nusic -- not waht I'd call a dash, just a stereo system. Bummed me out. If I could still rig a small LCD panel to replace my gauges I'd go ahead and buy. Dakota digital is just more than I want to spend, and I'm not sure I like the Cyberdyne LCD in round housing types. They do have "Ice Blue" LCD characters now that would go well with the blue Rambler though. I'm thinking about it, but right now all my gauges (except gas!) work. I'm building a new gas tank now, and will install a nice universal sending unit to solve that problem once and for all. The gauge problem appears to be the sending unit, though I don't understand why. I must have a ground problem. The tank is leaking again, and though it only does it when full, leading me to believe it's likely the sending unit seal (could be related to lack of grou! nd), I'm going to replace the whole tank. As long as I'm not concerned about it being pretty it's easy enough to make one -- any AC duct shop could do it once the plans are drawn. I'll end up printing the plans and pics of the new tank in AIM when done. On February 15, 2006 Tom Jennings wrote: > On Wed, 2006-02-15 at 08:15, farna@xxxxxxx wrote: > > Nice page!
