This is one of the fes times I *almost* wish I was in CA!! A 63 American hardtop WITH the factory air system intact? Sure wish it I was closer!! I do hope someone jumps on this. Tom J is out in Germany now, it sure would be a nice garage/driveway mate for his 63 wagon! All the 440 series had the 196 OHV, by the way. It may or may not have the 2V carb, but with factory air I'd think it would (but wasn't required). That "pink" would actually be a faded Rose color... not quite pink when new in 63. That's if it was the original color. I've got a lot of experience with those cars. A much more solid trunnion on top than the 64-69 Americans. It's a lot easier and cheaper to repair, and I'm reasonably sure replacements are still available. I know the lower trunnion is still available, and it's easy to replace -- the spring doesn't even need to come out. If anyone needs any help with one of these front ends just let me know!
