Mr. Wessel had THREE addresses subscribed to the list since December. Suffice to say they are ALL gone now. I checked other Yahoo.de, fr, and no addresses and removed several. I'm to the point that if someone tries to subscribe using one of these I'm not going to allow them on. There may be a couple legitimate subscribers, but I suggest you use a home address rather than a free account anywhere. I'm NOT dropping obious long time members using such addresses. IF YOU USE ONE NOW, DROP ME AN E-MAIL SO I DON'T DROP YOU BY MISTAKE! There were also several obvious spammers/phishers using yahoo.com addresses, and one using g-mail. These people get on with one of two intents: downloading the list subscriber base (there is a unix command for that, and once a member it can't be locked out as far as I can tell -- hiding your address or using something like "AT" instead of "@" doesn't help), or sending the message to the list and hitting everyone that way. This is a small enough list that I can prevent most of these people from subscribing in the first place. The only way to do it is to just not accept mail from free mail accounts like yahoo and g-mail though, becasue those are the most commonly used by spammers/phishers. They don't want their main/personal accounts closed, so they get a free one that they can afford to lose when caught. I'm not going this way yet. I'm looking for another hosting computer at the moment. I've contacted two companies, one uses "mailman" software, the other "phpmail". I'm not familiar with either one, but I'm willing to listen to anyone who is as far as suggestions.
