So I was a bit optimistic in saying 1500 cars -- but I recall that number being mentioned as an estimate, at least for 2002. That most likely included cars in parking lots and not on the show field though. I do remember it being mentioned that quite a few people drove AMCs to the show but didn't think they were "good enough" to park out on the field. It was more of a "cruise-in" than a car show -- let's see the "works in progress" and the "beaters" too!! Some of the high rollers with lots of money in their cars will turn up their noses, but many of use remember from whence we came...
