Re: 70 amx brake warning switch

I am not an expert on 70 AMX brakes.....but this may be more than just a warning switch.  Does the car have disc/drum brakes? If so it may be a combination valve.    A combination valve could contain a proportioning valve/metering valve and a pressure differential valve.
See http://www.mpbrakes.com/mpfaqvalving.htm
for some additional info.

No clue if you can move the valves by hand or not, or how much they really move.

Subject: 70 amx brake warning switch

Hi all looking for some more help on my neighbor's ' 70 AMX. On the passenger side firewall is a brass block, 4 brake lines go in and it has a switch and two plugs at opposite ends shaped like a H . I believe it's to let you know if you lose front or rear brakes. I removed it (we're changing all the lines and hoses) and took out the plugs on the sides to clean it out. There is a pin (horizontal) that I believe should move. If it doesn't move is this thing wasted?
