Re: Intake for turbo Gen I application

Any of the other AMC intakes can be adapted in the same manner. Since you're in Florida and seldom have to worry with cold weather, the Performer RPM would be a good choice. The engine may take a little longer to warm up, but for you should be no problem. In colder climates it would be a little sluggish until it warmed up,and would probably take twice as long as normal to warm up if the weather is like it is here in Delaware, but should be fine after the engine reaches normal operating temp.

This intake is supposed to work best between 2500-6000 RPM. If I'm wanting to build a fun street car and occasionally take it to the Gainesville raceway just for grins, should I be looking at the Performer, or Performer RPM intake (or other) instead of the Torker? I'm more interested in "seat of the pants" feel from off idle up to 5000 RPM than I am in maximizing my quarter mile time.
