Intake for turbo Gen I application



Datson has an article available online where he describes the process of making adapter plates for a Gen I motor in order to run a Gen II intake.  It is an Edelbrock Torker II.  This intake is supposed to work best between 2500-6000 RPM.  If I'm wanting to build a fun street car and occasionally take it to the Gainesville raceway just for grins, should I be looking at the Performer, or Performer RPM intake (or other) instead of the Torker?  I'm more interested in "seat of the pants" feel from off idle up to 5000 RPM than I am in maximizing my quarter mile time.
