But the retainer hole in the bell housing is just over, maybe .025 clearance or so, just enough to fit something this heavy and soft. My eventual plans for this car are six pack 280 with a T5, and AMX torque links, V8 springs, performance suspension pieces. I kind of think of it as a "Gremlin/AMX" and just want to take the original six cylinder design a little further. I already got ahold of some 77 AMX buckets, shifter knob, armrests, steering wheel, and visors, so most of what I'm touching will be AMX anyway. Already installed a '72 Hornet SST dashboard. Oh yeah. there's another hole I forgot (on the bell), on the wide pattern, middle of driver's side. I'm thinking dowel there, so didn't mention it before.
