360 vs 4.0



I cn't keep my yap shut, I'll admit it. I thought the
guy was after pure 1/4 mile performance, which is why
I went with the 360. You were right in saying that the
jazzed up 4.0 will reach it's performance ceiling
faster than starting with a stock 360, after all you
can stick a stock 360-auto in and dial in all the
chassis needs around it, then switch over to a 401 or
a tire burning crate engine. 
For good street manners a jazzed up 4.0 can't be beat.
Especially if backed up with an AOD or 5-spd stick. So
if the original writer is reading this, not us two hot
air blowers, then I guess it depends on which way to
go. If you want cheap street improvement go with the
stroker 4.0. If you want quarter mile performance with
improvent potential, go with the 360.
