Not to be to critical to a critic, however it should be noted that
Performance American Style was first produced in 1971. Hind site is always
20/20 and to critize a publication 35 yrs old by stating that the reason
piston manufacturer's don't make pistons because of the overbore statement
paints a broad brush. The reason manufacturer's may not have produced
different pistons could be as simple as a lack of demand, and since the
demise of AMC, each year that demand dwindles.
I agree a modern document would be beneficial, but to refute claims made by
a manufacturer would require extensive field testing, were would this come
from, surely not shade tree mechanics such as myself.
