Frank; I gotta disagree with your statement about the 4.o putting the same power out as a stock 360. Running the same tranny and rear end the 360 will be hands down more guts. The benefit to the 4.0 in the American, though, is that it will be cheaper to install and easier as you don't need all the V8 upgrades. And in my opinion a built 4.0 with the 258 stroker kits and other mods/eye candy will then equal or pass the stock 360 power. A jazzed up I6 has just as much "wow factor" as dropping in a 360. (Though nothing sounds better than a healthy V8, ya gotta love em). And the price of a 360 compared to a 401. Out here in Oregon you can find a complete, running 360 from a Jeep for about 2 to 3 hun. Try finding even a decent 401 block for that amount. Doing a V8 swap is one of the time tested rites that everyone should do at least once, but with all the big and little things involved, it isn't something to try unless you have experience or a greybeard neighbor.........Russ __________________________________ Yahoo! for Good - Make a difference this year. http://brand.yahoo.com/cybergivingweek2005/
