Shipping glass

With the way those ham fists toss packages around I
would not feel right about shipping any glass. You can
crate those up real good but the costs would be so
high that the buyer would be better off just buying
from a commercial place. Unless the glass is
unavailable I pass on shipping them myself.
Speaking of glass, in the current issue of Mopar
Action is an article of a one of a kind '55 Chrys
Imperial convert, made exclusively for the head of
Chryco. Since the factory didn't make ragtops that
year, it is special-and freakin gorgeous. He tells the
tale of getting a windshield made, the trials and
tribulations, and he finally had one made up to the
tune of $9500.00. A spare one ran him the bargain
price of $500.00. He said he personally drove the
cracked original to the factory to have it made, and
drove it back (probably in liberal layers of bubble wrap)....Russ
