Hi Eddie,
I'm writing to see if you might know how to solve my transmission problem.
My '67 Rambler American has the wrong engine in it. It's a later model 232 6 cylinder and the guy who I got the car from drilled holes in the original transmission (3 spd. w/overdrive) to make the engine bolt up.
As you can imagine, he didn't get it lined up quite right and the car eats throw-out bearings about every 700 miles.
Will the 1970 199 6 cylinder that I have, have the old bolt pattern and will simply installing this older engine into the '67 solve my problem??
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks again for all your assistance.
