Re: New AMC book.... what would you like to see??

I have to agree with you Jock. That's why most of the regional AMO meets don't do concours style judging. Strict judging takes some of the fun out of it for me, but I know there are people who enjoy that type of car. I have to wonder if the "show and shine" type judging isn't hurting the hobby in some ways though. There are very few "over restored" or even very well restored AMCs, not counting the Javelin, AMX, SC/Rambler, and Machine. I've seen a few, but they are far between. Maybe better concours judging would be s hot in the arm for the hobby, especially the older cars. The hobby ends up with a lot of drivers and semi-restored cars, but few really serious restorations. Money shouldn't be the issue, though I know parts availability is a big player. But with more people seriously interested in concours restoration rather than just keeping a car up and on the road (which encourages modifications), more parts should become available. It's a chicken and egg thing, I know! Nee!
d parts to restore, need demand from restorers to get parts made.
