Re: Wanted: 401 and 67 American Parts Car

I have a 1967 American wagon (six cylinder, automatic) that is largely unmolested. It's not for sale but I can help you out with where things go. These cars are pretty simple to work on and I can't remember anything that was difficult to work on (once you exclude the age related problems, like rusted fittings and such). There are several things (like water pumps, ignition coils, and brake parts if you have 9 inch Wagner drums -- Bendix drums are easy to find parts for) that 1967 was the last year for and it's a minor pain finding the right parts. I've been able to source all of these parts.

I have information specific to it at http://www.mattsoldcars.com/1967american/ and more generic information about American's at http://www.mattsoldcars.com/RestoreAmerican/.

I am looking for a 1967 Rambler American parts car or a 67 Rogue. I am currently restoring at 67 Rogue and would like a car to look at and disassemble as I need since I bought my car in pieces and am having some issues with putting it back together.

Also, I'm looking for a complete 401 that is reasonably priced and within 6-8 hours of Green Bay, WI. If anyone knows of anything, please let me know! I'd appreciate it.
