Re: 401 cam spec wanted



After 1974 (1975) was probably the change, if there was one. 74 was the last year the 401 was used in cars, 75-79 was Jeep only. So the cam may have been changed to take advantage of different truck emission standards to give it a little more power. Most likely that would be low in the power band, so not much more (if any) HP, but better low end torque. But that's just a guess on my part, nothing more!
