Thanks to Brien and Andrew for trying to help me with my trans adapter problem. My engine is the original 1971 258 cu. in. six that came in the car. It was bored .030 over for the Keith Black pistons, so now it's a 262 cu. in. engine. I have the blow-thru setup that Dick Datson was talking about in the mid-1990's. I figure 250 H.P. is about right. I know of a couple of turbo setups running more boost (10-12 lbs.) that produce well over one H.P. per cubic inch so approximately one horsepower per cubic inch for 7-8 lbs. seems reasonable for my engine. I looked at the Novak site and they only list an adapter for the later block. For a year or two after my turbo installation was on the Internet I corresponded with many people and gave them information on how I did the installation. I recognize a few names on this board that I exchanged e-mail with. I've always wondered how many of those people actually installed a turbo and got it to work One guy installed the turbo and he was using stock pistons and it collapsed the top ring land. He said it was a rocket though. Thanks again for the help. Clarence Milstead 1971 AMC Gremlin Turbo 1991 Chevy Caprice Classic 1996 Ford E-150 Custom Van
