Subject: NICE AMC Day

I left at 7.00AM this morning for what I thought was a 7 Hour Round trip to pick up a 1981 Eagle SX/4.
The car is a Sport model 258 4spd with Full gauges, Tach,Factory AM/FM Cassette, Tilt , Fog lights, Moon roof, rear wiper, spoiler and 4 Brand new tires.
The owners girlfreind didn't know what the Red Temp light was and cooked the Motor.
Still starts and runs but head gasket is toast. $250.00US
Blue interior is nice shape.
I will take some shots in the daylight and try and start it to-morrow.
>From the look of the Temps -1 F coming my way this Project may have to wait till the spring.
I have the power train to install in the Spirit Drifter and the Interior to finish in 73 AMX.
Also have the Front doors to replace on the Eagle wagon.
Where is the time going.

I took the 1989 S10 2.5L 5spd as my Tow rig.

The drive there is uneventful.
Cost was $25.00 US in Gas for the 350KM(210 miles)
On the return trip after the Eagle was hooked up the mileage dropped to 25.00US for 90 miles. Couldn't get the speed past 55 MPH. The engine was missing under load.

At the gas station I found the source of the miss on the 4 cylinder.
Back plug wire boot was arcing to the ground wire on the head.
After insulating this the power was up and made the 120 miles back on $14.00.
Cruising at 65MPH. I didn't think the little Truck I bought for $90.00 could do it.

Any Way in conversation with the Eagles owner I learned he Also has 2 International Harvester Trucks.
The 1/2 ton Turns out to be a 401 that isn't seized with 79000 miles on the clock. The 3/4 Ton 4X4 Has the 392 IH Block.
$325.00US for each. I bought the 401 truck on the spot.
Matches my IH 1/2 Almost exactly.

Also has a 1963 2dr Oldsmobile Starfire with 394 engine and tranny. Windsheild broken and Buckets are missing but does have consul mounted shifter with built in Tach. Tinted windows and good chrome trim. $325.00US

2 73/75 Oldsmobiles 88/98 models with 455 engines $325.00 Ea.
I will be posting Pictures and will advise.

If anybody needs these cars or engines EXCEPT THE 401. Let me know.

Located in Hudson Bay Saskatchewan Canada.
Might be Snowed in till Spring if the weatherman is correct.
