OT: Samsung rant!!!!

Arg, I just spent hours trying to find the decoder for the DVD drive in my old emachine only to find that the reason I couldn't find it was Samsung had filed the SD-616T DVD decoder software under CD ROM drives!!! I tried searching for this driver in every different configuration I could think of and nothing worked until I searched from Samsungs main page under 616T without adding the SD prefix, Then magically there was the driver!!!
What was worse was I could find the actually drive still for sale without software and link to Samsung, but I couldn't find the friggin software!!!
  I love Computers!
The good news is that Microsoft let me reregister a Dell based windows XP system wiht my emachines registration key!!! emachines comes with a real crappy won't load unless it sees everything is original copy of XP. My motherboard fried, emachines crap! A chip actually melted! So, I couldn't install a replacement motherboard because emachines no longer offered one, I wonder why?!! I buy one from Newegg, install it. It is DOA!!! Get an RMA and send it back, Get another, install it and windows won't load, Pull the harddrive install it in a second computer to pull the e files off and find all my files are gone. My wife's and kids are there, but mine are gone! Then I reinstall it and try the Dell software. It won't load. I reformat the hardrive. Install the Dell software. Everything looks good. I register it, It works! I'm in!
Then I give it to my 13 year old son for $150. He tries to play a DVD and nothing.
I've all ready told that part of the story.
Moral is, If your computer breaks, Quick throw it out! You don't even want to try and fix it!!!!!
Now back to the Rambler!!! Yeah!!!
I sold a Heater box last week for an American and bought a factory four barrel Holley carb from a 327 Ambassador. I justified buying the carb by telling my wife I sold a bigger part then I bought. I'm consolidating space!!!
Anyone need a 73 hornet Grille and Headlight doors? I've got a really nice set that just needs detailed and painted. The plastic is as close to perfect as you will ever find. Came from a garage kept 60,000 mile rustbucket. The bad thing is the stuff as green oversspray on it form where the old man that owned tried to keep the car looking nice. He didn't succeed!
