I ran a drum brake booster with discs on my63 wagon too. I had the booster rebuilt before running, but it failed about four years later. I recently adapted a 90 or so Ford Ranger booster to it. It's a small dual diaphragm (at least it's deep enough to be a dual, I'm assuming!) that has about the same power as the Rambler drum booster. With discs all around it takes a little leg to stop quickly when the roads are wet, but the brakes aren't touchy like the typical 60s-80s US built big car. Yes, I guess I have to call my 63 Classic a "big" car. Compared to what's made now it is! If it had a couple more inches in the wheelbase for the back seat it would be perfect sized though. With all the "big" cars about the same size now, I guess everyone noticed... ;> ============================================================= Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist
