I went, got there at about 8:20,Parked along a side street to keep from paying the parking vultures! I walked down the street to the corner and a guy in a 30's black something to other stops and yells, "are you going into the swap"? I said yes. So he asks if I want a ride. Of course I said yes again. I cross the street and get in and he pulls out. Stick shift car with a nice throaty rumble. I think cool a resto rod! I ask what kind of car is this. He says 1933 Cadillac V-12!!! I told him it was nice he says thanks and it is for sale as he has owned it since 1971 and it is time to sell it. To top it off he tells me he can get one passenger in free so he drove me into the fairgrounds and saved me like $8 or whatever it costs. Some one yelled and asked him what he was asking as I got out. He said $125,000!!! During the ride he told me he and his wife had driven this $125,000 car in from Colorado Springs!! I though, what a great day this is going to be, boy was I wrong, by 9:30 I had stomach cramps and was miserable, so I pretty much wandered around most of the fairgrounds till 3:00 and drove down to the outlets at Hagerstown and picked up some new Reeboks and went home. For the first time in 20+ years I did not bother to buy one single thing. I would have bought window felts as a guy had a listing on them for my car for $70, but he was out of stock so no dice. Still a day at Carlisle, even sick beats the hell out of a day at work! Which reminds me, I had tickets to today's Mountaineer game and sat in the stands and read the AMC-List online on the new Blackberry WVU is providing me! Way cool! Pages a slow to load if they have any graphics, but since the list archives are pretty basic it is nit to bad at all. But if anyone on the list is up around the Dover area and need anything feel free to drop by/give me a call. So Far it looks like most is coming through. I "chatted" with a tech last night and they said it was because my mailbox may have been too full. I said full of what? It is one day old! They said some other stuff about it not being their problem. So I logged off. Then they asked me to fill out a comment form about the session, so I told them it hadn't seemed to resolve anything at all and low and behold today it works! > > Go Figure! > > > > > > Mark Price > > markprice242ATadelphia.net > > > > Morgantown, WV > > > ============================================================= > Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist > > > > >
