Re: The old days

Anyone that's ever had 4.3 in a heavy truck knows what pig it can be. God forbid if you got one of the ones with the balance shaft rattle! Try and get it fixed after your 3-26 is up! Even though they promised they would step up and fix it when the fix came out. I've never found a shop willing to do so! GM, just plain sucks when it comes to customer relations!

>That last statement is because Detroit has the US brain washed into believing that. With the 4.3L V-6, GM could go all six xylinder and not lose any power. Even in Cadillacs and Corvettes (though for marketing I'd keep the Northstar and derivatives for those two -- but the "Shortstar" V-6 is pretty potent...) -- and light duty trucks (1/2 ton, and a base 3/4 ton). Not to do so in this day and age is actually stupid, but we are talking about GM. Us car companies are no longer leading, they are reacting. There is no leadership at GM.
